THE BROWN SHOE ROOM AT KITH

With the sneaker room through a portal, entering the Brown shoe room is like stepping through a time-warp.  Both showrooms make up the KITH store in the back of ATRIUM in New York.   Designed by David Winston and Ronnie Feig.

BRINGING A SUSTAINABLE URBAN EDGE:
“Made in Brooklyn”, is the ‘theme’, as all major materials were sourced and fabricated locally. Bringing a sustainable urban edge to the space are recycled and reused materials sourced locally. Pallet wood was recycled into wall and fixture panels. Steel display fixtures from a Brooklyn factory that closed eight years ago add an industrial vibe that’s reinforced by warehouse-style pendant lighting (retrofitted with LEDs, naturally). The result produced is a rich textured retail environment, in a contemporary urban space contrasting the fast-paced bustle of Flatbush Avenue.
Sam Ben Avraham, Owner of Atrium, and Ronnie Feig, mens urban shoe guru, commissioned Cleanroom Inc. to design the Brooklyn retail location.

ATRIUM NYC GETS A NEW LOOK

Cleanroom worked with Sam Ben Avraham to redesign Atrium at Bleecker and Broadway

We use recycled materials including old pallet wood and a stash of old  school fixtures that were sitting in a warehouse in Brooklyn for the past 10 years.  The focus was to bring organization and clarity to the merchandising.

Miami Updates

The sunglass cases and other fixtures designed by Cleanroom have been installed in the Miami Atrium boutique.  Aparently those designer  sunglasses are selling like hotcakes.  – design and marketing are inextricably linked.

This project builds on themes developed in an earlier project that we designed in Miami.  The design phase is complete and we are ready to go into construction mode. This project is for a new boutique on Broadway in NY.  Display fixtures and shelves snap into any location on the wood-slat structure that make up the walls.

Cleanroom designed and developed a dynamic shelving and display system for the 3000 sq. ft. Atrium store in New York.   Utilizing a wood slat-wall system, the display fixtures and shelving easily slip into place anywhere desired.  This original display system makes merchandising the store extremely flexible and fast.

The owner and visionary fashion retailer Sam Ben Avraham, went on to commision a second store in Miami.  Phase 1 of the Miami boutique was completed just ahead of Art Basel 2008; Phase 2 will be completed in Ferbruary 09′.  The New York store, which is much more ambitious, is scheduled to open summer of 09′.
