We use recycled materials including old pallet wood and a stash of old school fixtures that were sitting in a warehouse in Brooklyn for the past 10 years. The focus was to bring organization and clarity to the merchandising.

The new KITH store is the vision of Ronnie Feig, the burgeoning New York shoe guru. Ronnie was brought on by Sam Ben Avraham of the Atrium retail group, to establish the new KITH brand of shoe stores. Cleanroom is currently designing the first two KITH locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn. KITH will feature two distinct men shoe categories.

Cleanroom’s first building in New York City is just weeks away from completion.
This daring new structure wraps around the fully occupied 1901 tenement building, thrusting underneath the old building, up the side and over the top, fusing the two buildings together. Circumstances made it very tricky to build with people living inside the old tenement; but with careful planning and smart engineering,it was executed flawlessly.
David Winston, the firm’s director, was determined and fought hard to make this project happen, saying:
“This building has changed the culture of the street, and is changing the way people think about Hell’s Kitchen….that this is a progressive neighborhood “.
Stand by for the official unveiling in January 09.
There’s been an enormous amount of intrigue around the making of this building from the building department, to the fire department, to the residents of the area. The looming structure was a great source of anxiety and drew aggressive praise and criticism in the neighborhood and in the blogger community during construction.

Cleanroom designed and developed a dynamic shelving and display system for the 3000 sq. ft. Atrium store in New York. Utilizing a wood slat-wall system, the display fixtures and shelving easily slip into place anywhere desired. This original display system makes merchandising the store extremely flexible and fast.
The owner and visionary fashion retailer Sam Ben Avraham, went on to commision a second store in Miami. Phase 1 of the Miami boutique was completed just ahead of Art Basel 2008; Phase 2 will be completed in Ferbruary 09′. The New York store, which is much more ambitious, is scheduled to open summer of 09′.
